The City of Phoenix Street Transportation Department is seeking services to lead the pre-design efforts for the proposed 3rd Street modifications that are indicated in the Downtown Phoenix Comprehensive Transportation Plan. This initial design that will encompass the area between Lincoln Street and Washington Street. Y2K’s role in this project is to assist the prime in data collection and analysis, assisting in the preparation of an existing conditions report, and developing alternatives for bicycle lanes, passenger drop/off and pick-up locations, and connectivity for pedestrian and bicyclists to existing infrastructure in the project area. The final deliverable will be a 15% level design with proposed roadway typical sections including bike lanes and signal design upgrades at intersections.
