Job Summary

The Senior Engineering Designer is responsible to perform analyses, participate on interdisciplinary teams, and prepare project deliverables with technical responsibilities related to traffic and transportation engineering. This role will assists the project manager and engineering team that may include, without limitation, traffic impact analyses, traffic studies, feasibility reports, traffic design, multimodal planning, multimodal design, and transportation safety projects

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation or traffic engineering. 

  • E.I.T. Certification (successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam). 

  • Relevant 1-2 years work experience preferred. How many years of experience?  

  • Proficient use and fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) required. 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Incredible work ethic and efficiency, under limited supervision.

  • Emphasis on delivering work products that meets the needs of the customer, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support projects with hands-on tasks such as data collection, field reviews, and data analysis. Transform insights into comprehensive reports that drive impactful solutions.

  • Collaborate with clients, participate in meetings, and prepare dynamic materials and minutes that keep everyone aligned and informed.

  • Work closely with the management team to deliver high-quality technical reports, infrastructure analysis, and innovative data visualizations. Create compelling presentation slides, conceptual design figures, construction plans, specifications, and accurate cost estimates.

  • Contribute to cutting-edge traffic operations analysis and simulation to improve safety and efficiency across various transportation networks.

  • Conduct thorough traffic impact analysis, traffic engineering studies, and forward-thinking transportation planning.

  • Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects as necessary.

  • Other duties as assigned

Travel

  • Up to 25%

Office Physical Requirements:

All positions in our office require interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting. Employees who drive on company business are subject to driver’s license record checks and must maintain acceptable driving records. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on company business shall maintain the statutorily state required liability insurance.
